  1. I am a member on Qantas points, it’s a great way to build my business. Lemons Social is just gaining traction as a start up for under $500. I’m very proud of my business and how it can allow me to give back to the community.

    • Fantastic! Good luck Brad. It sounds like a wonderful event. Great to hear you are working on an exciting invention. Keep us in the loop and let us know what you’d like to read more of on Kochie’s Business Builders.

  2. Thanks for the opportunity to enter this great competition. The points would allow us to fly our early childhood educators from Darwin to Brisbane to gain access to high quality professional development opportunities.

    • Thanks Brett! Good luck. What a wonderful idea to spend Qantas Points to help your early childhood educators to gain access to important professional development information. Don’t forget to let us know what you’d like to read more of on Business Builders!

  3. Booked flight to Vancouver to connect with online students already. This prize would make many more students around the world sooo excited plus isolated students in Broome & Winton +. business keeps growing as we are first to stream lessons to the world on Couture Millinery – Hat making. 80% of students are International. I am encouraging Au students to join KBB as great info to set up home based business. Fingers & Toes are crossed for competition :))

  4. This is a great opportunity – thank you. English for Work would love to take our professional development course “Grammar Basics for Teachers” interstate. There is a real need to support teachers in this area now that grammar has been given a much stronger focus in the Australian Curriculum.

  5. eInvoicing is a new option for small business. There are great benefits for helping small business improve cash flow, save time, decrease errors, reduce costs, etc. This Qantas competition is great to see as it can open the doors for this information to be shared around the country, beyond the capital cities. Well done to Qantas and Kochie’s Business Builders for making this possible. All the best to the winner!

  6. Something I would like to read more about on Kochie’s Business Builders is marketing a small business (that might not be as responsive to contemporary social media) with a more tailored approach. For example in marketing “training products and expertise” to a specialized niche market such as teachers and schools what would some more personalized strategies be?

    • Hi Margaret – thanks so much for letting us know. We love to hear from readers. After all we are here to give you the information you need as a small business. That is really interesting to hear social media isn’t the main focus for marketing to your nice market. We will definitely look at this as a subject matter. Watch this space!

  7. We’d love to be able to hop on a plane without the expense of flights to see our clients – we work remotely in Melbourne doing voice overs for online learning.

We have clients (via word of mouth) in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney and even Mumbai that we’ve worked with for quite a few years, but never actually met in person – it’d be great to solidify our working relationship in person without thinking about the $’s.

  8. This is an awesome competition. Thank you so much for organising it.
As an author/publisher, I dream of taking my children’s picture book to the Frankfurt Book Fair to learn about the international book market. But the cost prohibits me…
    With much gratitude.

  9. As I am not a business but a charity working towards getting a Royal Commission into institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse within New Zealand. If I were to join the business points program what sort of benefits are there. As I am also a Qantas frequent flyer.
