Following the results of a recent survey, which found three in five business owners were unprepared for business post-COVID, Westpac has united with TAFE NSW to deliver a small business recovery course.

The collaboration will provide 1000 Westpac business customers with free access to the 12-week TAFE NSW Small Business Growth series. The course will be delivered online and provide small business owners with the strategies they need to face the challenges of business following the pandemic.

The training will also focus on assisting small business owners to position their business for growth.

Topics to be covered will include:

  • Innovation and change strategies to pivot business operations to respond to change
  • Keeping pace with the digital curve and developing strategies to meet the surge in customer preference for online channels
  • Identifying and managing new business opportunities and business risks over the medium to long term

Westpac Business division Chief Executive Guil Lima said the course allowed Westpac to help its business customers meet the challenges of a post-pandemic world.

“As Australia moves out of recession and into a period of growth, we want these businesses to be equipped with the latest thinking and business strategies to help them prosper.

“This course offers relevant and practical insights to help small business owners better manage through times of crisis, understand business risk, and improve digital and social media marketing,” Lima said.
