What Do You Want To Be Known For In Your Business?

- April 8, 2016 2 MIN READ

If you answered yes, then ask yourself, is what I’m known for right now contributing to the growth of my business?

Let me give you an example: Are you known for being:

  • Committed
  • Reliable
  • Passionate
  • Supportive
  • Hands on and takes action

Do you attend meetings on time, deliver when you say you will, provide the product / service you promised, never leave things out and take short cuts.

Or are you known for being:

  • Full of excuses
  • Unreliable
  • Provide unsatisfactory customer service
  • Avoid dealing with problems

Which category do you find yourself most in?

Here’s an exercise for you;

  1. Write down what people know you for
  2. Write down what you want people to know you for.

From your discovery are there any differences between your answers in point one and two?

If there is a difference, then the questions you need to ask yourself are:

  1. How much is this affecting the growth of your business?
  2. Are you prepared to do something about it?

The decision is up to you. You can only control your own actions, not those of others. If you honestly know that your actions are creating unwanted branding of you then you can change things.

If you have decided to make some changes then write down:

  • What do you need to STOP doing
  • What do need to START doing
  • What do you need to CONTINUE doing

Take action implement this right now. It starts with you.

Start noticing how these changes affect what people are saying about you, what you are now known for and how your business is suddenly attracting ideal clients and your staff are even more productive and morale is amazing.

What are the top three things you want to be known for or are already known for which you are happy with? Enter them in the comment.

I’m holding a Business Breakfast covering this topic as it’s an important part of business growth. As you grow so does your business. Here’s the link to book your ticket.
