11 ways to boost your busy mornings

Here are 11 healthy smoothies that you can whip up in a blender in minutes so not having time for breakfast is no excuse. Don’t forget that you are the most important asset your small business has so it is important to eat well and take care of yourself. What do you do to ensure you stay healthy while working in small business?

Tropical citrus veggie smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup water
2 limes squeezed
2 lemons squeezed
1 orange (optional)
1 handful baby carrots
1 handful fresh cilantro
1 handful fresh parsley
1 bunch organic (if possible) celery
1 cup pineapple (frozen or regular) (optional)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder

Chocolate coffee

Note: All of these shakes that have coffee are made with coffee that was brewed and left in the fridge overnight. 

Ingredients:
200ml of black coffee
1 banana
1 scoop of protein powder of choice
1 cup of spinach/kale
3 ice cubes
2 Tbsp of greek yoghurt
150ml of almond milk
1 tsp of cocoa powder


Morning coffee kick

Ingredients:
½ cup of milk
1 tsp maple syrup/honey
170g tub chobani greek yoghurt
A dash cinnamon
200ml of black coffee
1 frozen banana
3 – 4 ice cubes
½ cup of spinach

Anytime shake

Ingredients:
1 small tub of plain chobani greek yoghurt
½ cup broccoli
1 cup of spinach
1 cup of berries
1 tsp of honey
4 ice cubes
15 nuts
1 cup milk

Black peanut butter banana smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup of milk
200ml of black coffee
1 frozen banana
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 Tbsp peanut butter
Pinch salt
1 scoop of protein powder

Nutrient packed smoothie

Ingredients:
1/4 beetroot
4 ice cubes
3 Tbsp spoons of Greek yogurt
½ avocado
1 pinch of salt
1 cup of spinach
1 pinch of cinnamon
200ml of water
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder


Chocolate Cherry Shake

Ingredients:
500ml of water or yogurt
1 scoops chocolate flavoured protein powder
2 cups of sweet dark cherries, pits removed
1 cups of spinach
1 Tbsp of walnuts
1 Tbsp ground flax
1 Tbsp cacao nibs or dark cocoa powder

Green Mean Shake

Ingredients:
250ml of water
2 stalks kale stems (optional)
1 cup grapes
1 tub (170g) of plain chobani greek yoghurt
½ an avocado
3 – 4 ice cubes

Wild berry shake

Ingredients:
1 scoop of whey protein powder
1 cup of broccoli
8 raspberries
4 strawberries
15 blueberries
2 cups skim milk
1 handful of ice

Breakfast spinach smoothie

Ingredients:
250ml of milk
1½ scoops of vanilla protein powder
1 apple, sliced into wedges
½ a beetroot
1 cup of spinach
2 Tbsp of almonds
Ice as needed
Cinnamon to taste
1 Tbsp of cacao

 

Berry super smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 Tbsp almond butter
1 Tbsp spoons coconut oil
1 cup frozen berries (organic if you can)
1 cup chaga mushroom tea (brewed 12 hours before) or instant chage tea (from four sigmatic)
1 Tbsp raw cocoa
5 grams creatine monohydrate
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1-2 scoops greens powder
1 big leaf stalk of kale
