David Koch is a passionate small business supporter, host of Sunrise on Channel 7 and President of Port Adelaide Football Club. A long-time small business owner with his wife Libby, his mission for Kochie’s Business Builders is to support small business owners with simple, easy to apply information, tools and resources, and help them succeed in both their business and their relationships.
Alexi Boyd is the CEO of COSBOA (the Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia). A fully qualified BAS agent, Alexi has over 20 years experience working with small and family businesses in addition to running her own bookkeeping practice, where she has supported countless small and micro businesses in their journeys. She has hosted her own community radio show and podcast, Small Biz Matters, dedicated to small business education and advocacy since 2014. Guided by her experiences, Alexi will advocate for policies which strengthen small business owners’ ability to feel empowered and in control of their own journey.
Stephen Pendergast Stephen Pendergast is the Vice President and General Manager of Global Commercial Services at American Express. His team supports business owners tackle some of the key challenges facing businesses today around cash flow and access to lending. Stephen has over three decades of experience as a senior executive and consultant in the financial services sector. Having worked with business leaders across a range of industries and marketplaces, Stephen and his team have helped solve their most pressing business finance challenges such as supplier payments and expense management so they can effectively achieve their business growth objectives.
Taryn Williams is the award-winning CEO and Founder of WINK Models modelling and talent agency, theright.fit online talent marketplace, The Influencers Agency, and a new digital venture launching soon, #gifted. Taryn won the 2017 B&T Women in Media tech leader award, and was recognised with the 2018 Mumbrella Award for Innovation for theright.fit. Taryn is a regular commentator on the tech industry, entrepreneurialism and business and is a Board Director of Digital + Technology Collective (formerly AIMIA). Taryn has spoken at conferences including Online Retailer, Business Chicks, ADMA Global Forum, The Collective Hub Kick Start Smart, Myriad, Mumbrella (B2B, Luxury and 360) and Vivid Sydney.
Ali Lord is the CEO of HeadBox Australia, an event-tech platform originating from the UK. Described as the ‘Bumble for events’, HeadBox matches event organisers with suitable venues. Originally from Brisbane, Lord has over a decade of experience in the events industry, both venue and client-side in Australia and London. At Dentsu Aegis Network, Lord oversaw the events agenda for 21 agencies across the UK and Ireland, managing 200 events a year.
