This is your chance to get up close and personal with the editors of Flying Solo, Kochie’s Business Builders and Startup Daily and our Chairman of the Board, David Koch, as we kick off our November #campaignforoptimism networking event.
Rub shoulders with other like-minded business owners and meet the folk behind Pinstripe Media’s small business and startup publications. Grab a ticket and come along to share your story for a chance to be featured on one of our sites.
As well as hearing from Kochie and the editors we will be having a fireside chat with a couple of small business success stories: teenage CEO, Josh Brnjac who started his first first venture with just $90 pocket money and now has a six-figure business and PowerList finalist Jo Palmer.
Freshly nominated 2019 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award National Winner, Palmer is the founder of Pointer Remote roles, a community that matches businesses with talent that works remotely.
Flying Solo editor Lucy Kippist says: “Jo’s only been running her business for just two years and already seen enormous success and national recognition for the role she plays in bringing skills from the bush to the big cities. As she says the most important thing we can do for people in rural areas affected by drought is to employ them.”
While Kochie’s Business Builders editor Cec Busby suggests there’s plenty that small business owners can learn from teen business owner Brnjac.
“After struggling with depression, Josh started his first business, a photography content agency and has grown it from his bedroom to now employ a number of full-time staff and a six-figure turnover. It’s pretty impressive by any means let alone for a 16-year-old.
“I’m sure our community will have much to learn from the entrepreneurial spirit of both these founders.”
#CampaignForOptimism Collabnight takes place on Thursday, November 14 at 530pm (sharp) at the International Towers at Barangaroo.
