Kochie’s Business Builders and Yellow Online are on the hunt for the nation’s regional heroes. Is your small business located in a rural or regional area? Does it innovate, impact or empower the local community or Australia at large? Then we want to hear from you!
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, regional businesses account for over 800,000 businesses in Australia and provide around a quarter of our national economy. Despite this significant number, regional and rural businesses rarely gain the same spotlight as their city counterparts. Kochie’s Business Builders and Yellow Online want to change that.
Our Regional Heroes content series will shine a light on the fantastic array of talent on offer within Australia’s regional and rural small business communities.
“The contribution our regional and rural small business owners make should not be ignored. We often talk about small business being the backbone of the economy yet we rarely acknowledge the incredible role our regional and rural small businesses have in building our community and bringing innovation to locations outside of the big cities,” said Kochie’s Business Builders editor Cec Busby.
“We hope this content series will allow regional businesses to be recognised and celebrated for the incredible work they do in serving their community and Australia at large. We are calling for small business owners in all areas to come forward and nominate themselves for a chance to share their story and be included in the series.”
