Summer holidays are winding down, but there is still time to catch up on some great shows, books and music. We asked Aussie business leaders to tell us what’s on their hit list to read, watch and listen to this season.

W1nning by Tim S. Grover book cover

What’s on your summer reading/watch/listen list?

I have bought two books from Tim S. Grover, the personal fitness coach of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. They’re called W1nning and Relentless and I can’t wait to read them to see what principles he applies to keep them winning.

Jill Berry, CEO and co-founder, Adatree

Schitt's Creek cast

What’s on your summer reading/watch/listen list?

I want to read The Hard Things by Ben Horowitz. I used to read fiction, now I only read about business, and someone told me I have to have this book. Also, I might watch Schitt’s Creek again, it’s the best feel-good, funny, wholesome, hilarious show.

Maria Halasz, CEO & Managing Director, Cellmid

Mythos by Stephen Fry book cover

What’s on your summer reading/watch/listen list?

I want to finish Mythos by Stephen Fry and also read his other book, Troy. And on the novel end I have Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell. There are several biohacking books lining up too. I also want to watch season 2 of The Great and literally anything of Louis Theroux’s documentaries. I think there is also a new season of Bridgerton. As you can see, I’m a bit behind on my Netflix.

Jonathan Moody, CEO and founder of national allied health business, Physio Inq

Play Bigger by Al Ramadan is definitely on my reading list, and I’ll be catching up on season two of Ted Lasso. My listen list will consist of Taylor Swift’s version of Red and I’ll probably be re-listening to Bo Burnham’s Inside, as well.

The Cold Start Problem by Andrew Chen book cover

I’m really looking forward to reading The Cold Start Problem by Andrew Chen from A16Z. It’s all about launching a company in the early days, with interesting interviews from some great founders of global tech companies.
