Facebook launches hub to support business through COVID-19 crisis

Facebook has announced the launch of a new Business Resource Hub to support small business owners challenged by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Hub features resources and recommendations to help small businesses stay connected to customers and keep their business on track. Facebook says it also includes quick and easy access to information about COVID-19 to help small businesses and the communities stay informed.

The Business Resource Hub is the latest step Facebook has taken in its response to the coronavirus. Earlier this month the social media giant placed a ban on the posting of advertisements for facemasks and the site is closely monitoring ‘news’ posts for misinformation and any opportunistic posting that aims to incite panic or capitalise on the virus.

The business resource hub shows small business owners how they can use social to keep in touch with customers during the crisis by leveraging Messenger, Insta Direct and WhatsApp for Business.

It also delivers how-to guides for creating a disaster plan for your business and resiliency checks for your business.
