Kochie’s Business Builders and Yellow Online have cast the net far and wide in the search to find Australia’s Favourite Family Business. Now, the hunt is over and it’s time to announce our ten finalists set to vie for the top honour.
With nominations flowing in from all over Australia, Kochie’s Business Builders editor Cec Busby said it was heartening to see the vast number of passionate family businesses in operation in Australia.
“There were some outstanding businesses nominating for the title of Australia’s Favourite Family Business. Cutting back the list to just ten was a difficult task. I think the nominees express the ingenuity and commitment it takes to make a success of a family business, and I take my hat off to all the finalists and the many more businesses that entered.

Andrea and Mark Quinn have diversified their family vineyard to enter a niche tourism market with 8 Kangaroos. Capitalising on a true Australian icon, their wine bottle has earned design awards and captured the hearts of visitors from around the globe. Aussie Apricots
With drought a constant issue for this family of fourth-generation fruit growers, Paul and Kathy Prosser diversified their offering to encompass tourism alongside their range of fruit-based and chocolate products, which has proved a massive success for this small business.

Crema Joe
Family flexibility and a love for the environment prompted mum Kayla Mosutto to found Crema Joe. Kayla’s desire to cutback consumption of single use coffee pods has resulted in a sustainable business that encourages consumers to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Cooloola Berries
Third generation strawberry growers Jason and Kim Lewis welcome farm guests to pick produce fresh from their paddock, drink strawberry cider, eat strawberry inspired desserts and simply relax in their beautiful setting as they transform the family farm into a tourist destination.

Leanne and Rich Sexton believe parents shouldn’t have to sacrifice the health of their baby or the environment in order to afford a quality product. Joonya was born from their own frustration at an inability to find affordable eco-friendly nappies and wipes. Today the provide nappies for 100s of 1000s of Australians.
