Mums & Co’s MPowered conference is set to kick off at the International Convention Centre in Sydney next week with an aim of providing mums in business with the advice they need in order for their businesses to succeed.
Taking inspiration from the results of Mums & Co’s recent business survey, The MPowered conference will focus upon the key areas Australian business mums identified as pain points: money management and financial matters, marketing their business (on a shoestring budget), and setting up businesses correctly to succeed.
The day-long conference will bring these three areas into focus with keynote speakers, business panels and workshops providing foundation skills.
The event will also provide the opportunity for business mums to connect and network. A highlight event on the day is the MPowered Pitch Competition Finals – where four women-led businesses will pitch to win a prize pool valued at over $35,000.
“Enabling more mothers to work on their own businesses means that they can balance the things that are important to them, and when doing meaningful work women have seen both their incomes and levels of self-reported happiness increase,” Mums & Co Founder Carrie Kwan tells KBB.
Mums & Co’s MPowered Conference takes place on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 830am-5pm at the ICC Sydney.
