Are you ready to Be MPowered?

The Be MPowered Conference is returning for a second year this August with a stellar line-up of speakers and workshops for mums in business. The conference is the brainchild of Carrie Kwan, founder of Mums & Co, a business mums networking and support platform.

Kwan vows that this year’s conference will be bigger and better than ever with a spotlight on founding, finance, funding and fast-tracking to success.

“We are so humbled by the response we got for the conference last year and are delighted to offer business and marketing knowledge, access to leaders, and inspire our growing community of 20,000+ Australian business founders,” Kwan said.

The Be MPowered Conference will bring together international and local influential thought leaders, creative thinkers and business owner mums. The conference is aimed at providing resources, connections, knowledge and experience to help empower female founders to reach new personal heights with their business.

This year’s event sees a change of venue to the Ovolo Hotel in Woolloomooloo. The day-long conference will feature international and local keynote speakers including Greg Moshal, Prospa, Lan Snell, Macquarie University, Chris Gilbert, Equitise and Jemma Green, Power Ledger.

The event will also see 15 female founders vie for the top spot in the Be MPowered Pitch Competition run by Marisa Warren CEO & Founder, ELEVACAO.

The pitch comp is unique in that the founders will have the opportunity to take part in weekend workshops with leading business mentors to develop their pitch and present their businesses to a panel of industry leaders including Julie Batch, Chief Customer Officer, IAG – Andrea Culligan, partner, Deloitte – Julia French, Founders for Founders – Niki Scevak, Blackbird – Elicia McDonald, investor at AirTree Ventures – Brendan Yell, Director, Twilio SendGrid –  Peter Huynh, co-founder, Qualgro.  The winner will take home a $10,000 prize.

Tickets to Be MPowered Conference presented by Mums & Co takes place August 23 at Ovolo Hotel Woolloomooloo. Tickets can be purchased from be-mpowered.com.
