With the busy end of year sales period right on our doorstep, it’s time to get your social media content strategy in order to make the most of the festive spending season. How? Maximise your sales by minimising fluff around your social media platforms, writes So Social founder, Amani Youssef.
With Christmas coming around the corner, now is a good time more than ever to prep your end of year content! By strategising your end of November sales and your Christmas promotions, you’ll be able to maximise your sales easily.
Four easy ways to boost your end of year sales with social media
Whilst everyone else is frantically using every avenue, it’s best to minimise the fluff to make sure your content is targeted to your audience.
Here are four simple ways for creating focused content for this time of the year:
1. Get personal with your audience
Throughout the year, you would’ve taken each of your customers on a journey, however at the end of the year – it should be personalised!
Engage with your audience, start conversations, and even use poll stickers on Instagram to ask your audience questions.
This personalised content will ensure that they have fully understood your promotions and sales, as you are directly giving them the information that they need to know.
2. Do something different
Your end of year promotional content should stand out when compared to content that you usually share. You don’t want your audience to think that this is regular content, you want it to stand out and ultimately, engage your audience.
Add some flair, or create different style videos to ensure your end of year promotional content looks different!
Introducing a new colour, sound or a different style of capturing content always does the trick.
3. Theme your content
As we draw closer to the end of the year, there are so many events that you can theme your content towards.
Why not bring in a spooky vibe for Halloween?
Perhaps a techy and futuristic energy for Cyber Monday?
And of course, a holly jolly Christmas jingle for the Christmas spirit.
Show the audience that you are relatable – there is no better time to do this than Christmas!
4. Get your team to participate
Showcasing team culture towards the end of the year shows a different side to the business, especially if you don’t usually showcase your team culture in your social media content.
Your team is what makes your brand different, and giving your team a voice will always ensure your engagement is higher.
When you have sales and promotions running you want to be getting high engagement, and this is a great way to do it!
